I produce content for companies. I help them understand and reach their customers, build their brand and improve their bottom line. My story begins in Vancouver, Canada, where as a young girl I spent countless hours selecting, designing and organizing content for imaginary fashion magazines. Today I live and work in Los Angeles where I have successfully launched and operated two of my own clothing brands, designed collections for several other companies, and developed my own social media consulting company. I’ve worn a lot of different hats in the fashion and marketing industry but one thing has always been constant: I love creating content.
After moving to L.A. in 2001, I became the General Manager, Merchandiser, and Lead Buyer at Clout, a core board shop in Malibu. During my four years overseeing operations for Clout I had the opportunity to establish, design, and manage my own clothing brand. In 2004 I launched BENNETT MALIBU and quickly grew it into a leading women's brand in the boutique market. I designed and marketed the entire line, but at the same time I produced and directed all the photo and video shoots for the brand and found myself rediscovering the joy of creating content. In 2009, as Instagram was launching, I took a year off and traveled to Australia where I honed my photography skills and fueled my interest in the savvy use of social media as an important business tool.
Back in L.A. the following year I was recruited by Arbor Collective to launch and develop a women’s fashion line. It was a bold new concept for them, and for two years I took the role of Creative Director and Lead Designer of Arbor Girls to help make it a reality. In 2013 I launched TASI MALIBU, my second women’s clothing brand. I took a non-traditional approach to brand development, focusing on brand collaborations and social community impact. I brought my years of experience with production, talent acquisition, and taste-maker promotion to the mix, and after only three seasons the line was picked up by Urban Outfitters and Free People.
